There were various forms of discrimination against young people. Bachelors and single women are viewed as untrustworthy. Since they seem like "foreigners" in a new city, immigrants from other places are treated with distrust. Moreover, many new arrivals were uninitiated and needed to gain local knowledge in a foreign place.
We came to the conclusion that people who were moving to a different city needed more than just a place to live. They required a place they could call home, a welcoming community, and a platform that connected them to a variety of different access points.
We build communities and residences that go beyond simple housing.
At Creative Homes, we quickly concluded that we needed to build a platform that was capable of far more than just resolving the immediate issues with peripherals and space. As globalisation and communication gain prominence, we notice that social divisions are increasing in society. In answer, we say that no one should feel discriminated against and that no city should be unfamiliar.
The idea of Creative Homes developed into an inclusive community where young people are expected to accept responsibility while still having choices. Tenants would have choices, allowing them to make decisions based on their tastes and financial situation.
Owners would have less work to perform in terms of screening out potential tenants, doing background checks, and pursuing unpaid rent. Though housing will remain the primary focus, we think Creative Homes as a platform will expand in many other directions in the future.
